You are a Jedi Sentinel. With seven focus and all cooldowns unavailable, is it better to use Cauterize (http://www.torhead.com/ability/e0WvPob) or Precision Slash (http://www.torhead.com/ability/9oznugi) to finish off the boss in your Flashpoint? Your tank is down to 20% of his health and about to take another massive hit, would you be better off casting Healing Trance (http://www.torhead.com/ability/7kHVq6q) or spamming Deliverance (http://www.torhead.com/ability/a3f9xZb)? Youíve offered to tank for a group with an overgeared damage dealer and he keeps dying when your Taunt (http://www.torhead.com/ability/e0U4Adh) is unavailable, are you doing everything you can to keep the bossís attention?
The answers to these questions (if there are any) can be found via theorycrafting.

A combat sentinel wouldn't be using Cauterize over Precision Slash ever, because Cauterize isn't a part of the combat playstyle, it's for Watchman. Also Precision Slash is a high tier Combat ability and will be scaling very well from stats, so it ought to beat the pants off of Cauterize anyway(for Combat). If the dot dmg did make it useful to keep Cauterize, it would not be a burn the boss choice for a Combat player, though.

Yay, I know one.

/edit Now I'm going to go read the article.

Thanks! Just the kind of link I need for a slow Sunday afternoon when I don't want to watch TV.
